Digimon Dictionary
English
A Reptile Digimon in the shape of a dinosaur who grew
into a biped. As it is still growing, it has a weak
amount of power, but it's understood that it has a
fierce and scary personality. Stiff sharp claws have
grown on each of its limbs, which play an effective role
in combat. It's also predicted that this Digimon will
evolve into one of great power. Its special attack is
"Baby Flame", which attacks the enemy by emitting a
breath of flames from its mouth. (Wildermon)

Note-1 It is not entirely clear which version
of viral Agumon appears in this game. The DMA uses this
Digimon since the Nintendo DS games seem to ignore the
existence of the viral
Digimon Savers Agumon.
Note-2 The viral Agumon first appeared in
Starter 3 of the Digital Monsters Card Game Hyper
Colosseum where it was named 'Agumon'. It would appear
once more in
Booster 16 and still under the name
'Agumon'. It then appeared in the fighting game
Battle Chronicle under the name 'BlackAgumon'. The
American release of the fighting game, released as
Rumble Arena 2, called it BlackAgumon. Much later, it
appeared in the Nintendo DS game as BlackAgumon.
Bandai of Japan continues to go back and forth on how
they name these black variants.
BlackWarGreymon
being the best example. First released in
Starter 3 of the Digital Monsters Card Game Hyper
Colosseum where it was named 'WarGreymon'. It later
appeared in
D3 Ver. 1 and
Digimon Zero Two as BlackWarGreymon. The cards continued
calling it 'WarGreymon'. but all games would call it
BlackWarGreymon. BlackWarGreymon would not get its own
card until
SPa-2
and has since been referred to as BlackWarGreymon in all
media.
Another example of Bandai's inconsistent naming
policies is the
Digimon Dictionary; where the viral Agumon is called
'Agumon
(Black)' and the viral WarGreymon is called 'BlackWarGreymon'.
A new card game, Digimon Jintrix, seems to be finally
settling on a name for these black variants. The viral
MetalGarurumon, long called 'MetalGarurumon' in the card
game is called
BlackMetalGarurumon. |
