A witch Digimon that came from "Witchelny", a Digital World in another dimension, hot on the trail of its rival Wizardmon. In its home land of Witchelny, it was the mistress of Wind and Water magic (high-classed programming languages), and it aims to usurp Wizardmon, who entered the Digital World in order to train to become a great mage.

It is a little bit cruel and shows a lot more pride, and it hates rules and regulations. Its special attacks are "Baluluna Gale", a sharp breeze tinged with magic, and "Aquary  Pressure", a highly pressurized jet of water that can penetrate through steel. (Wildermon)

A Demon Man Digimon that appeared from "Witchelny", a Digital World in another dimension, in order to usurp her rival Wizardmon. It has mastered Water- and Wind-based magic (advanced programming language). It takes on the form of a witch and is a Digimon who is full of pride.

Witchmon and "Witchelny", the Digital World in another dimension, were created before "Digital Monster" was released by Bandai, taking on the motifs of several elements of the mobile game "Magical Witches". (Kenji Watanabe designed characters from this game as well as Digimon) The object of the game was to raise "4 young witches that go to different schools" and aim to "become great mages", and Witchmon's appearance was based on a girl named "Suime" that belonged to the Aquary group who has the power of "Water" magic but was learning to use "Wind" magic, similar to how Witchmon is a mistress of both "Water"- and "Wind"-based magic. 【ウィッチモンのモデル】
ウィッチモンや別次元のデジタルワールド“ウィッチェルニー”は株式会社バンダイと株式会社ウィズの製作による「デジタルモンスター」の以前に発売されていた、携帯ゲーム「マジカルウィッチーズ」の世界がモチーフになっている。（キャラクターデザインもデジモンと同じ渡辺けんじ氏だ）
ゲームの内容は「魔術学校に通う4人の子供のウィッチを育成して“大魔導師（究極形態ソウル）”を目指す」、というもので、
ウィッチモンのデザインは、この中に登場する「水」の力を持つアクエリー族に属する“スイミー”という女の子が「風」の力を手にし、「水」と「風」のハーフマスターになった姿に酷似している。
